2026.8.21 fri – 8.30 sun

Rebecca Appleby

Tim Martin

Ikuko Iwamoto

Between, a group exhibition featuring three ceramic artists based in the UK: Rebecca Appleby, Tim Martin, and Ikuko Iwamoto.

【Rebecca Appleby】
Appleby creates ceramic sculptures that evoke stone, exploring geological time, architecture, and the traces left by human activity. Through processes of building, cutting, layering, and erosion, she investigates forms that exist between the excavated and the constructed, the ancient and the contemporary.

【Tim Martin】
With a background in architecture, Martin creates ceramic sculptures that combine refined forms with bold, Brutalist-inspired textures. Abstracting figures, landscapes, plants, and the built environment, he explores relationships between weight and lightness, movement and stillness, balance and scale.

【Ikuko Iwamoto】
Iwamoto combines porcelain with found and antique objects to explore the relationship between the natural world and human activity. In her ongoing series Ghosts from the Sea, marine creatures appear as fragile, ghost-like presences, reflecting on marine pollution, life, and loss.
