水犀・mizusai

矢尾板克則個展「空っぽとその周辺」

矢尾板さんの水犀での初となる個展です。長年手がげている建物を表現した陶のオブジェクトが中心の展示となりました。
骨組みだけの空っぽの建物、薄い陶板が貼られた骨組み、そしてそれらが組み合わさった構造物。それらの建物が並ぶ光景を思い描いてみてください。機能を失った無機的な空間が浮かび上がる。なぜ「空っぽ」を作りたいのでしょう。今回の展示では、この「空っぽ」の意味について、作品を通じて作家に問いかけてみたいと考えています。私たちが作品を観ることで「その周辺」に身を置くことができれば、有機的な解答が多く生まれると思っています。
小屋の作品や陶板画の作品もあり、さまざまな矢尾板さんの作品もあわせて展示しています。

YAOITA Katsunori Solo Exhibition “Empty and around”
2025.4.5sat – 4.13sun

This is the first solo exhibition of YAOITA at the mizusai gallery.
The exhibition centers around ceramic objects that express buildings he has been working on for many years. Imagine a scene with empty structures that only display their framework, frameworks covered with thin ceramic plates, and buildings that combine these elements. An inorganic space devoid of function emerges. Why does he want to create this “emptiness”? In this exhibition, I would like to ask the artist about the meaning of this “emptiness” through the works. I believe that if we can place ourselves in “the surroundings” by viewing the works, many organic answers will arise.
There are also works of small structures and ceramic panels, showcasing a variety of YAOITA’s pieces.
