柳 恩惠 「寄り添う」

韓国・ソウルを拠点に活動するセラミックアーティスト、柳恩恵（Yoo Eun-hey）の個展。 個人的な経験を超え、同時代に生きる人々の愛や責任を「Care」と言うテーマに落とし込んだ作品が並びました。力強さと優しさに溢れた作品です。



今回の作品は、支え合いの経験から出発している。
支え合いは関係の中で生まれるが、その過程は簡単には目に見えない。私は、この見えにくい関係をかたちとして表すことを試みている。社会の中で営まれる支え合いの関係を、陶という素材を通して視覚化しようとしている。
それぞれの要素はひとりでは立つことができず、互いに寄りかかり、つながることでかたちを保っている。このあり方は、かたちが保たれる条件を示している。
それぞれのかたちは孤立しているように見えながらも、関係の中で支えられている。
陶と釉薬は、かたちを保ちながら表面を覆う。私はこの過程において、見えないものがどのように覆われ、再び現れるのかに関心を向けている。
これらの作品を一つの空間に配置する。観る人がそのあいだを行き来する中で、かたちが保たれるあり方や、その背後にある関係に触れることを期待している。

Yoo Eun-hay — With Care

A solo exhibition by Seoul-based ceramic artist Yoo Eun-hey.
Moving beyond personal experience, the works are centered on the theme of “Care,” reflecting the love and responsibilities of people living in the same era. The pieces are filled with both strength and gentleness.


This body of work begins from experiences of mutual support.
While support emerges within relationships, the process is not easily visible. Through this work, I attempt to give form to these hard-to-see relationships. Using the material of clay, I seek to visualize the networks of support that exist within society.
Each element cannot stand alone; they lean on one another and remain in form through their connections. This condition reveals what allows a form to be sustained. Although each shape may appear isolated, it is in fact supported within a web of relationships.
Clay and glaze preserve the form while covering its surface. In this process, I am interested in how what is unseen becomes covered and then re-emerges.
These works are arranged within a single space. As viewers move among them, I hope they will encounter the ways in which forms are sustained, and the relationships that lie behind them.
