たくさん凹凸を付けた生地に色々な釉薬をかけて、流れたり溜まったりして出来た表面から見つけ出した生き物や妖怪を上絵で描きこんでいます。釉薬がとけた様子から妖怪や生き物を探しているので、「熔怪」の字をあてたぐいのみです。
I poured various glazes on the uneven surface of the fabric, and then drew creatures and ghosts on the surface, which flowed and accumulated. Because I am looking for monsters and creatures from the way the glaze melts, I only apply the word "yokai" to them.
