小さい世界というテーマから盆栽、盆景を連想しました。盆怪は、盆栽のように台座によって世界を区切りその中の何か（生き物、妖怪）の存在を見つけることで、小さい別の世界により注目し楽しむことができる、そんな作品を作りたくて制作しました。描いた鬼をとっかかりに、他の生き物や妖怪も見つけて楽しんでもらえればと思っています。
The theme of the small world made me think of bonsai and bonsai landscapes. Bonsai is like a bonsai tree that divides the world by its pedestal, and by finding something (a living creature or a yokai) in it, we can pay more attention to and enjoy a small, different world. I hope that people will use the demons I drew as a starting point to discover other living creatures and yokai and enjoy them as well.
