狙いを定めた上での「現象」、予測を離れたところでの「揺動」。２人の作品にはこの相反する両方の魅力を感じています。
雰囲気の共通点や親和性があり、同じ空間に並べても心地良い。だけれども全く違う。もしかしたら作品に込められたエネルギーの向きが違うのかもしれません。この対比をぜひお楽しみください。

日置さんは、岐阜県瑞浪市の陶土を販売する会社「カネ利」の社長でもあります。常にさまざまな土と向き合いながら、土のポテンシャルを伝えるために日々テストを繰り返しています。その経験を生かし、今回はブレンドする前の原土に焦点を当てた作品を制作してくれました。

森田さんは、和紙や植物の蔓、磁器、銀彩を使った作品を制作。和紙に泥漿を含ませた時の紙の反りや、植物の有機的な形をそのまま生かしたり、自然に委ねる部分が以前より増えたように思えます。時間と共に銀の酸化する特性も作品の一部になっています。

“Phenomena” on target and “fluctuations” away from predictions.I find both of these opposites fascinating in their work.
Their works have a similarity and affinity in atmosphere, and are comfortable when placed in the same space. Perhaps it is the direction of the energy that is put into the works that is different. We hope you will enjoy this contrast.

Mr. Hioki is also the president of Kanetoshi, a company that sells clay in Mizunami, Gifu Prefecture. Constantly dealing with a variety of clays, he is constantly testing them in order to communicate their potentials. Using this experience, he created a work focusing on the raw clay before blending.

Ms. Morita creates works using Japanese paper, plant vines, porcelain, and silver glazed. It seems to me that he is more entrusting his work to nature than before, such as warping the washi paper when it is covered with slip, and utilizing the organic shapes of plants as they are. The oxidizing properties of silver over time are also a part of her work.

現在、カネ利陶料の代表として、精土業を営みながら様々な活動を続ける。

HIOKI Tetsuya
1976 Born in Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture
2001 Graduated from Tajimi Technical High School
2001 Graduated from Tajimi Technical High School, Gifu Prefecture, Japan.
2018 Formed experimental material research band “monolith&soilmans note”.
He is currently working for Kaneri touryo.
Currently, as a representative of Kaneri touryo, he continues various activities while running his own clay business.

Born in 1981 and lives in Tokyo
