個展 “LIMINAL”

悳 祐介さんは、学生時代にフィルムで自主映画を制作。その後フリーランスで映像の仕事に携わり、2017年より点描によるアートワークの制作が始まりました。今回は、キャンバス、ケント紙、古紙などに描いています。平面作品の他に石粉粘土を使用した立体作品も併せて展示しています。モノクロの不思議な世界をお楽しみください。

見慣れた空間の片隅に存在する暗がりといった懐かしさと未知の間。矛盾しているそのリミナル(境界)にいる時の白昼夢を見ているかのような感覚を表現したいと思っています。遺物や自然物などから感じる祖先や精霊たちの痕跡を形として探り、それらを再構築して少しだけ違和感と怖さを残す。同じものを見ても人によってリミナルのポイントが違うため、ノイズにならないよう作品にはタイトルをつけていません。想像の余白の中にそれぞれ独自の感覚を見出してもらえたら嬉しく思います。

Yusuke Isao made independent films on film when he was a student. He later became involved in freelance film work and began creating artwork with pointillism in 2017. In this exhibition, he draws on canvas, Kent paper, and used paper. In addition to two-dimensional works, three-dimensional works using stone clay are also exhibited. Please enjoy the mysterious world of monochrome.

The darkness that exists in a corner of a familiar space, between the nostalgic and the unknown. I want to express the sensation of daydreaming when I am in this contradictory liminal space. I explore the traces of ancestors and spirits felt from relics and natural objects in the form of shapes, and reconstruct them to leave a slightly uncomfortable and scary feeling. Since different people have different points of liminality when they see the same thing, I do not give titles to my works so that they do not become noise. I will be happy if each of you can find your own unique sensation in the margins of your imagination.
