個展 「私の庭」

画家であり漫画家としても活動するメグマイルランドによる個展のご案内です。作家は自身の視点から日常の中で集めたモチーフを作品に昇華し、水犀の空間に「自らが楽しい庭」をつくりあげました。その場に足を踏み入れると、やわらかな優しさと力強いエネルギーが同居するペインティングが広がり、見る人を自然と明るく楽しい気持ちへと導きます。さらに会場には、作家の故郷である佐賀県で制作された陶の作品も並びます。絵画と陶芸が響き合いながら展開される展示は、遊び心と温かさに満ち、訪れる人が豊かな気持ちになれます。

時間が私に与えてきたもの全てが
指や筆が接したところから新しい形となって現れる
いかなる時も寄りそってくれるのは
絵を描いている私
何かをつくっている私
だから私はそれを制限しない否定しない

Ceramic exhibition “My Garden”

We are pleased to present a solo exhibition by Megumireland , who works both as a painter and a manga artist. From her own unique perspective, the artist transforms motifs gathered from everyday life into artworks, shaping the Mizusai space into what she describes as “a garden of her own delight.” Stepping inside, visitors are surrounded by paintings in which gentle tenderness and powerful energy coexist, naturally lifting the spirit and inviting a bright and joyful state of mind. The exhibition also features ceramic works created in her hometown of Saga, further enriching the experience. Together, the paintings and ceramics resonate with one another, unfolding into an exhibition filled with playfulness and warmth—one that leaves visitors feeling uplifted and fulfilled.

All that time has given me
emerges as new forms
from the touch of my fingers or the stroke of my brush.
At every moment, the one who stays close beside me
is myself painting,
myself creating.
That is why I do not restrain it,
I do not deny it.
Here, my intimate friends gather.

漫画家、画家、イラストレーター。小学生時代を佐賀で過ごし、その記憶を元に描いた漫画作品『水辺のできごと』が文化庁メディア芸術祭推薦作品に選出される。他、自主制作など多数。
現在マガジンハウスSHUROにて「棕櫚の木の下で」連載中。 https://shuro.world/manga/undertheshurotree/
漫画の他、ドローイングや陶板など作っています。

Megumireland
Manga artist, painter, illustrator. she spent her elementary school days in Saga, and her manga “Mizube no Dekigoto”, based on her memories of the area, was selected as a recommended work for the Japan Media Arts Festival. her has also produced many other independent works.
Currently, “Under the Palm Tree” is serialized in Magazine House SHURO.https://shuro.world/manga/undertheshurotree/
In addition to cartoons, I make drawings and ceramic panels.
