韓国で活躍しているOJACRAFTの個展を開催します。
人気の器の制作を一旦ストップして、様々な素材を使った実験的な作品を今回の展示のために作ってくれました。美しいけれど怪しい、端正だけどユニークな、OJAさんとJEBIさんの新たな世界観のお披露目のShowcaseとなります。OJAさんのオブジェや照明、JEBIさんの写真作品を展示します。

방162
OJACRAFTのOJAとJEBIの２人の好奇心を詰め込んだ新しいプロジェクト「방」のはじまりの展示となります。今回の展示のイメージは ”怪しいコレクターのための部屋 ”です。今回は陶にこだわらず、ガラス、石、金属に木など様々な素材にチャレンジしました。OJAによる新たな素材への取り組みから生まれた造形と、作品のイメージを膨らませるJEBIの写真のアナログプリントの展示となります。
방(BANG)は韓国語で「部屋」という言葉です。ナンバーの「162」は水犀の番地です。

OJACRAFT Showcase of new initiatives “방162”

OJACRAFT’s solo exhibition will be held in Korea. They have stopped producing their popular vessels and created experimental works using various materials for this exhibition. OJA’s objects and lighting and JEBI’s photography will be on display.

This exhibition will be the beginning of a new project “방”, a curiosity-filled project of OJACRAFT’s OJA and JEBI. The image of this exhibition is “a room for weird collectors.” For this exhibition, OJA has tried various materials such as glass, stone, metal and wood without sticking to ceramics, and the exhibition will feature the modeling created by OJA’s efforts to work with new materials and JEBI’s analog prints of photographs that expand the imagery of the work.

OJACRAFT は韓国坡州市に器を中心としたセラミックスタジオを構え活動しています。鋳込みの技法で作る作品は端正で独特なこだわりを感じます。作品の制作はOJAさん、イメージを作り上げるのがJEBIさんの役割となっています。ソウルには直営のショップも運営していて、2人の世界観を伝えています。

OJACRAFT has a ceramic studio in Paju City, Korea. The works made by casting technique are neat and unique. OJA is responsible for the production of the works, and JEBI is responsible for the creation of the images. They also operate a directly managed store in Seoul to convey their world view.
