制作の過程での気付きや現象を積み重ね誕生した、３つの技法の作品を展示しています。自らがコントロールする部分と、偶然に委ねる部分のバランスが絶妙です。清潔感のある美しい作品をぜひご覧ください。


土の粒子の細かさやヒビの形、釉薬の煌めき
土に手を加える過程で
様々な心奪われる表情に出会う
土という一つの壮大な自然に翻弄されるように、目の前の形はわたしが未だ知らない形へと変わっていく
確かに作っているけれど、わたしの意思を離れたり、戻ったりの繰り返し
そうして生まれた
自然のような、人為のようなもの
漂う”あわい”に何が見えるだろう

TAMURA Mami ceramic exhibition “Something like”
2023.6.17 sat – 6.25 sun

This is a solo exhibition of ceramic artist Mami Tamura, who works in Saitama Prefecture.
The exhibition features works using three different techniques, which were born from a series of realisations and phenomena during the production process. There is an exquisite balance between the part she controls and the part she leaves to chance.

The fineness of the clay particles, the shape of the cracks, the shimmer of the glaze.
In the process of modifying the clay.
I encounter a variety of fascinating expressions.
As if at the mercy of the magnificent nature that is clay, the form before my eyes changes into a form that I have not yet known.
I am making things, but they repeatedly leave and return to my will And so it is born.
Something like nature, something like artifice.
What do I see in the drifting “in-between”.
