自ら掘った台湾の原土を使い、形作り塊のまま焼成した作品。たくさん開けられた穴は、入り口と出口です。
子どもの頃に見た、蟻地獄のイメージも入れ込んでいます。少しざらついたドライな土の質感が土の魅力を伝えています。作家自身をイメージした作品です。

This piece was formed and fired as a lump using raw clay from Taiwan, which he dug himself. The many holes are entrances and exits. The work also incorporates an image of an ant lion's den that he saw as a child. The slightly rough and dry texture of the clay conveys the charm of soil.
*These works will be shipped after the exhibition ends on October 3.
