小泉巧・内藤紫帆 「水平と垂直からのジャンプ」

紙に漆を塗り立体作品を制作している小泉巧さんと古紙などを素材に独特な雰囲気の立体作品を作る内藤紫帆さんの２人展です。
２人は技法は違いますが、紙という素材の特性を活かして作品を制作しています。小泉さんは紙だからこその造形を作り漆で仕上げています。内藤さんは紙を染め、重ねて色んな素材に貼り合わせ、透けや質感などの特徴を活かしています。高校の同級生のお二人。息のあった展示となりました。

◎小泉巧
紙に漆を塗る”紙胎”技法を主に用いて制作をしています。うまく言葉で言い表せない、でも自分の中に確かにある、”心地よいかたち”を制作のよりどころにしています。現代社会において忘れ去られつつある漆工芸ですが、人々に寄り添うような漆の可能性を探っています。

◎内藤紫帆
収集物の紙、出掛け先で拾った石や木片、骨董市で見つけたガラクタなど、これまで出会ってきたものを素材として組み合わせ、制作を行っています。自身の個人的な記憶などを要素として潜ませながら、他者の感覚にも静かに重なるような作品の在り方を考えています。

KOIZUMI Takumi & NAITO Shiho exhibition ”Jumping from horizontal and vertical”

This is a two-person exhibition of KOIZUMI Takumi, who creates three-dimensional works by applying lacquer to paper, and NAITO Shiho, who creates three-dimensional works with a unique atmosphere using used paper and other materials.
Although the two artists use different techniques, they create their works by taking advantage of the characteristics of paper as a material. KOIZUMI Takumi creates forms that are only possible with paper and finishes them with lacquer. NAITO Shiho dyes paper, layers it, and pastes it onto various materials, taking advantage of its transparency, texture, and other characteristics. The two were classmates in high school. It was a breathtaking exhibition.

◎KOIZUMI Takumi
I mainly use the technique of “Shi-Tai”, which is the application of lacquer on paper. I am trying to create works with a “comfortable form” that I cannot describe in words, but that is definitely inside of me. Lacquer crafts are being forgotten in today’s society, but I am exploring the possibilities of lacquer that will be close to people.

◎NAITO Shiho
I combines materials he has encountered in the past, such as paper from his collection, stones and pieces of wood he picked up while out and about, and junk he found at antique markets, to create his works. While incorporating my own personal memories as elements, I try to create works that quietly overlap with the senses of others.

小泉巧
1974年名古屋市生まれ
1994年京都生まれ。2018年富山大学大学院芸術文化学研究科芸術文化学専攻修了。 紙に漆を塗る”紙胎”という技法を主に用いて、日常に使う道具や立体作品を制作。現在富山大学芸術文化学部　助教をしている。

内藤紫帆 　
1993年京都生まれ。2016年京都精華大学テキスタイルコース卒業。京都を拠点に、古紙や古道具、石などを使った、小さな立体制作や、染色技法であるろうけつ染めをベースにした作品などを制作している。

KOIZUMI Takumi
Born in 1994 in Kyoto, Japan, she graduated from the Graduate School of Art and Design, University of Toyama in 2018. She creates everyday tools and three-dimensional works mainly using a technique called “kashitai”, in which lacquer is applied to paper. She is currently an assistant professor at the Faculty of Art and Design, University of Toyama.

NAITO Shiho
Born in Kyoto in 1993, she graduated from Kyoto Seika University Textile Course in 2016. Based in Kyoto, she creates small three-dimensional works using old paper, old tools, and stones, as well as works based on the dyeing technique of wax-blot dyeing.
