田中 彰　個展　「流泊ノ海岸」

茨城県を拠点に活動する版画家・田中彰さんの水犀で3回目となる展示です。田中さんは、木版画を中心に、継続的なフィールドワークを通して、自然と自身との関係性を探求してきました。
本展では、海岸に打ち上げられた石が、月の引力によって再び海へと引き戻される際に残る痕跡に着目、儚くも確かに存在したその軌跡をスケッチし、木版画として作品化しました。また、同一の版から摺り方に変化を加えることにより、表現の広がりを探る新たな試みにも取り組んでいます。
会期中には公開制作も行われています。作品が生まれてくる過程もあわせてぜひご覧ください。

TANAKA Sho Solo Exhibition “The Drifting Shoreline”
2026.2.14 sat – 3.1 sun

TANAKA Sho, a printmaker based in Ibaraki Prefecture, has been exploring the relationship between nature and himself through continuous fieldwork, focusing primarily on woodblock prints.
This third exhibition at mizusai centers on stones washed ashore and the traces they leave behind as they are drawn back into the sea by the moon’s gravitational pull. Tanaka sketched these fleeting yet undeniable marks and transformed them into woodblock prints. In this exhibition, he also embarks on a new attempt to expand his expressive possibilities by varying the printing methods from the same woodblock.
Live printmaking sessions are held during the exhibition period. Visitors are warmly invited to witness not only the finished works but also the process through which they come into being.

Comet-shaped traces appear along the shoreline
by the pull of the moon.
Stones cast ashore and the sandy tails
formed by the receding waves
return once more to the sea.
