ロシアの伝統的な飲み物・クヴァスを保管していた壺。
ゴルショーク(ミルク壺)とは少し形が違い、小さな両耳把手が付いているのが特徴です。
こちらは持ち手ではなく紐などを通していた名残で、一見無意味に見える形がとても愛らしいのです。
高さと口径のバランスがとても良く、日常使いの花器として花屋西別府商店・西別府からも特に気に入られている壺のひとつです。
＊80年から100年程前の器ですので、長時間水を張ったままにして置くと器底部が汚れることが御座います。今回は展示会「輪」にちなんで、革製の専用コースターをご用意致しました。汚れうつりが気になる方は是非ご利用ください。
Late 19th century/Russian Empire
This jar was used to store kvass, a traditional Russian drink.
This vase is slightly different from the golshok (milk vase) in that it has a small double-eared handle.
This is not a handle, but a remnant of a cord or something that was threaded through it, and the seemingly meaningless shape is very endearing.
This is one of the vases that the florist Nishi Beppu Shoten, Nishi Beppu, especially likes as a vase for daily use, as it has a good balance of height and diameter.
*We have carefully checked and repaired each vase for leaks, but if left in water for a long period of time, the bottom of the vase may become stained with water.
A leather golshow coaster is included as a service, if you are concerned about this.
