ロシアの古物を中心に扱うはいいろオオカミの佐藤克耶さんと植物を使ったオブジェを制作する花屋 西別府商店の西別府久幸さん。２人で青山に古道具と植物を扱うショップを構え、多方面で活躍しています。
水犀での展示は今回で4回目となります。タイトルの“Botantique”は、botanicalとantiqueを合わせた造語です。標本に見立てた食虫植物を中心としたオブジェや古物を使った照明器具、ロシアやジョージアなどから集められた古道具などが、サルオガセ（樹皮に付着して懸垂する糸状の地衣類）という植物で装飾された水犀に並びました。とても心地の良い展示空間です。
定番の照明「森の小さな灯」の受注会も同時開催しています。

熱帯地域に住む人々の生活に深く浸透し独自の進化を遂げた食虫植物と 古く市井の人々の生活の営みを示す道具たち。 いま、ぼくたちが強く興味を持っているものにあらためて向き合いました。

Antiques Haiiro Ookami & Flowers Nishibeppu sho-ten exhibition “Botantique”

SATO Katsuya of Haiiro ookami who deals mainly in Russian antiques, and NISHIBEPPU Hisayuki of Nishibeppu Shoten, a florist who creates objects using plants The two have set up a shop dealing in antiques and plants in Aoyama, and are active in many fields.
This is the fourth exhibition at Mizusai. The title “Botantique” is a coined word combining botanical and antique. Objects centred on insectivorous plants used as specimens, lighting fixtures made from antique objects and old tools collected from Russia, Georgia and elsewhere are lined up in Mizusai, which is decorated with a plant known as beard moss (a thread-like lichen that attaches to the bark and hangs down). It is a very comfortable exhibition space.
An order-taking session for the regular lighting “Little Lights of the Forest” is also being held at the same time.

Insectivorous plants that have deeply penetrated the lives of people living in tropical regions and have evolved in their own unique way, and and tools that show the daily lives of the people of the city in ancient times.
We have taken a fresh look at the things that we are strongly interested in today.

店名はロシアの民話『イワン王子とはいいろおおかみ』から。
ロシアや日本の生活に根差した古道具を買い付けるほか、住宅やインテリアの設計も行う。

西別府久幸（にしべっぷ・ひさゆき）
花屋 西別府商店 店主
「はいいろオオカミ」での展示を機に佐藤と空間を共有。
木の根やキノコ、古木などを使い独自の世界観を表現するほか、活け込みや空間ディスプレイなども手がける。

Owner of the antique Haiiro Ookami.
The name of the store comes from the Russian folktale “Prince Ivan and the White Wolf”.
In addition to buying old tools rooted in Russian and Japanese life, he also designs houses and interiors.

Hisayuki Nishibeppu
Owner of flowers Nishibeppu sho-ten
Hisayuki Nishibeppu shares the same space with Sato after his exhibition at “antique Haiiro Ookami. He uses tree roots, mushrooms, and old trees to express his own unique worldview, and is also involved in flower arranging and spatial displays.
