畳 tatami’s antique / tatami_K-09　両班の帽子

かつて朝鮮に存在した両班(特権的な官僚階級)が被っていた馬の毛で緻密に編まれた帽子(갓 カッ)。100年前のもの。紐は後年につけられたものです。髷を結ってヘアバンドをした後に、髷を保護するネット状のもの(付属の品)をかぶり、その上に帽子をかぶっていました。

This is a cap made of horsehair and woven with precision worn by yangban (a privileged class of bureaucrats) 100 years ago in Korea. The strings were added at a later date. After the topknot was tied and a hair band was put on, the hat was worn over a net-like item (attached to the topknot) that protected the topknot.
