古物商である長谷川迅太さんの個展です。

古い地図や絵師のための下絵や和紙の鯉のぼりなどを、長谷川さんの視点で切り取り、キャンバスに貼り直し１枚の絵に仕上げた作品を中心に展示しています。
切り取ることによって新たな形が現れ、貼り合わせることで世界観が誕生します。今回は「鯉のぼり」「古地図」「おちゃらけ」の３つシリーズで展示を構成。
平面作品以外にも、古物や陶で作った作品も並んでいます。古物商ならではの作品へのアプローチが面白くて魅力的な展示になっています。

HASEGAWA Jinta ”cut & paste”

This is a solo exhibition by antique dealer HASEGAWA Jinta.

Old maps, drafts for painters, and Japanese paper carp streamers are cut out from HASEGAWA’s perspective and pasted back onto the canvas to create a single painting.
By cutting out the pieces, new shapes emerge, and by pasting them together, a new view of the world is born. This time, three series, “Koinobori (carp streamer),” “Kochizu (old map),” and “Ocharake (playful),” are being developed.
In addition to two-dimensional works, there are also works made from antiques and ceramics. The unique approach of antique dealers to their works makes for an appealing exhibit.

国内外の展覧会、アートフェアで作品を発表し、近年は、古物商として活動し、古いモノからインスピレーションを得て作品を制作しています。

He has exhibited his work at national and international exhibitions and art fairs, and in recent years has been working as an antique dealer, drawing inspiration from old objects in his work.
