個展 「位相」

兵庫にアトリエを構え活動している陶芸家、南繁樹さんの個展です。
古伊万里の総麻葉の蕎麦猪口を見て感動し、この紋様を立体で作れないかというところから、南さんの作品が生まれました。彫りに使用する道具なども、形に合わせ使いやすいものを自身で制作しています。緻密な手彫りによる幾何学模様で構成された花器や香炉、ぐい呑みなどの磁器の焼締作品や赤土を使った陶器の壺なども並びました。白の中の陰影の美しさをご堪能ください。

私の作品の根底には「空と実」があります。
空間には無数の見えない線があります。器物の表面にもたくさんの線があります。
事実として選び移した線にあわせて新たな空間を彫り出していきます。
論理空間のみの存在が形ある事実になっていきます。

MINAMI Shigeki
Ceramic exhibition “Topology”

This is a solo exhibition of Shigeki Minami, a ceramic artist with a studio in Hyogo. Minami was impressed by an old Imari soba inokuchi (buckwheat noodle pot) made of all the leaves of the plant and wondered if he could create a three-dimensional version of this pattern. She also makes her own tools for carving, which are easy to use according to the shape. The exhibition featured mainly porcelain works with a geometric pattern carved by hand, such as vases, incense burners, and teacups, as well as ceramic vases made of red clay. Please enjoy the beauty of shades in white.

The basis of my work is “sky and fruit”.
There are countless invisible lines in space. There are also many lines on the surface of a vessel.
I carve out a new space according to the lines that I have selected and transferred as facts.
The existence of only logical space becomes a tangible fact.

1978 Born in Osaka
Graduated from Ryukoku University, Faculty of Economics in 2000. Started working in the Ceramics Club while still a student.
Joined Maishima Ceramic Museum
2006 Established his own pottery studio in Inagawa, Hyogo Prefecture
