森田春菜 個展 「Transform－変化変容」

絵を描くように、釉薬や顔料を重ね、何度も焼成を繰り返すことによって生まれる質感。
今回の個展のテーマである 「Transform－変化変容」は森田さんの作品そのものを表しています。
土でありながら土を離れ、変容することで生まれた質感をご覧ください。

Transform－変化変容

制作の中ではいつもかたちと質が一致するところを探します。
このごく個人的な感覚はある程度までは説明できるけれどどこかで必ず当てはまる言葉がなくなります。
その先は、モノになるしかない。

かたちづくり、焼成を繰り返す中で感じていたこと、世界が現れてくる。
それは「自己表現」というよりも逆に教えられ、知らされていることの方が多くあります。

決して捉えきれないものをつくる行為とやきものの物理的な現象に委ねる中で
だんだんとわたしの”個”の重要性は薄れていく最近はそんなことを感じています。

制作について話すとき「化ける」という言葉をよく用います。
やきものが自分のコントロール以上のところに到達し物質から離れ、何にも似ないものになる。
領域を超えるー
今回はそんな感覚を想い、題しました。

MORITA Haruna’s solo exhibition “Transform”

Like a painting, glazes and pigments are layered and fired over and over again to create a texture.
The theme of this exhibition, “Transformation,” represents the essence of MORITA’s work.
Look at the texture created by the transformation of the earth, leaving the earth at the same time.

Transform-change transformation
I always look for a match between form and quality in my work.
This very personal feeling can be explained to a certain extent, but somewhere along the line there will always be no more words that apply.
After that, you have to become a thing.

Through the process of making shapes and firing, the world of the artist’s perceptions emerges.
It’s not so much “self-expression” as it is being taught and informed to the contrary.
In the act of making something that can never be captured, and in surrendering to the physical phenomena of pottery
The importance of my “individual” is gradually diminishing these days.

We often use the word “incarnation” when talking about production.
The Yakimono reaches beyond its control and leaves matter and becomes nothing like it.
Beyond the realm.

I titled this article with that feeling in mind.
