岡野里香 個展 「Primitive」

岡野里香さんは長野県軽井沢の静かな森の中にアトリエを構え、器、オブジェ、ペインティングと幅広い制作活動をしています。水犀での個展は２回目。今回は積み重ねられた形の新作が中心です。
<今までの器作りから派生した、花器。形の重なりがう美しいシルエットとなっています。もう一つの新作は、器からは離れ、複数の土を重ね立方体を作り、バランスを楽しみながら重ねることで作品にしたオブジェです。どちらも、テストを繰り返すことにって生まれた様々な質感の化粧土や釉薬が色とりどり重ねられています。
岡野さんならではの感性が詰まった作品をぜひご覧ください。

原初的なエネルギーを積みかさねる
わたしの本能から生まれた陶のカタチ

今回の試みは、幼い子どもが積木を積んでいくように
そこに留まるか、崩壊するかの境界を見定める仕事となりました。

OKANO Ricca has a studio in a quiet forest in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture, where she works in a wide range of media, including vessels, objects, and paintings. This is her second solo exhibition at Mizusai.
This time, her new works of stacked forms are the main focus. The vases are derived from his previous works. The overlapping shapes create a beautiful silhouette. Another new work is an object made by layering multiple layers of clay to make a cube, and then stacking them while enjoying the balance. In both pieces, various textures of clay and glazes are layered in a variety of colors, which were created through repeated testing.

A ceramic form born of my instincts
This time, I tried to create a form of pottery that is like the building blocks of a young child.
This time, the work was to determine the boundary between staying there and disintegrating.
