OKI motoko

大木さんは、神奈川県葉山町で手染めのテキスタイルを制作しています。自身のアートワークを布に表現したテキスタイルブランド、Funatabi Atelier として精力的に作品を発表しています。墨や植物を使用し、染めの滲む色合いや跡、手書きによる伸びやかな線など、色を重ねる事に加え、魅力に溢れています。

今企画展では、大木さんの根底にある色や時を重ねる「積層」というテーマを掘り下げた新作が並びます。１×２mの大きな作品のほか、スカーフにもなるクロスや洋服なども展示しています。水犀の空間での展示をどうぞお楽しみください。

アトリエの床や作業着。手数と時間の経過で積み重なる、無作為な色合いや跡に魅力を感じました。
その自然現象の様な状態を、表現しようとしています。
布ではない、別の何かに見えたらいいなと思います。
積層は私の制作全てに共通するテーマであり、特徴です。

作家プロフィール profile　〉

Ms.OKI produces hand-dyed textiles in Hayama-cho, Kanagawa Prefecture. Her textile brand, Funatabi Atelier, which expresses her own artwork on cloth, is actively presenting her works. Using sumi ink and plants, the blotchy hues and traces of dyeing, and the stretchy lines of handwriting, in addition to the layering of colors, are full of charm.

This exhibition features new works that delve into the theme of “Accumulation,” the layering of color and time that lies at the heart of Ms. Ohki’s work, including a large 1 x 2 meter piece, a cloth that can be used as a scarf, and clothing. Please enjoy yourself in the space of the water rhinoceros.

The floor of my studio and my work clothes. I was fascinated by the random colors and marks that accumulate with the passage of time and the number of hands.
I am trying to express this natural phenomenon in my work.
I hope it looks like something else, not cloth.
Accumulation is a common theme and characteristic of all my work.
