タナカシゲオ　「世界の中の世界」。
小さな世界の集合体で世界はできている。
奈良明日香村でくらし、土をこね、窯を作りうつわを薪で焼くそれが、タナカシゲオさんの世界。
そこから生まれた作品が水犀に並び新たな世界をつくります。
今展覧会では、白磁の壺を中心に、花器、器が届いています。
白磁、焼きしめ、伊羅保、黒釉、鉄絵などその表情も豊かです。

鉄絵を描くのに鬼板粘土で作ったドロドロの絵具を使うので絵具の含みが良くて長い線を描ける筆を探していたところ、美濃地方では中部和犬の尻尾の毛を使っていたという話を思い出して奈良筆を作る方に相談した。
筆の材料の中からこれが良いのではとコリンスキーというイタチ科の動物の尻尾がちょん切ったまま出てきた。
中骨が入ったままの尻尾丸ごと１本で筆を作っていただくことにした。
面白い筆を持つと面白いものが描きたくなった。

TANAKA Shigeo “The World Within the World”.
The world is made up of a collection of small worlds.
Living in the village of Asuka, Nara, kneading clay, building a kiln, and firing vessels with wood, that is the world of Mr. TANAKA Shigeo.
The works born from this are arranged on the rhinoceros to create a new world.
In this exhibition, we have received vases and vessels, mainly white porcelain vases. There is a richness of expression in these works, including white porcelain, ware, ilabo, black glaze, and iron painting.

When I was looking for a brush that would contain good paint and would allow me to draw long lines, I remembered that in the Mino region, they used hair from the tail of a central Japanese dog, so I asked for advice from a Nara brush maker.
The tail of a weasel animal called Kolinsky came out of the brush material with its tail cut off, thinking it would be good.
I decided to ask him to make a brush with a whole tail with the middle bone still in it.
Having an interesting brush made me want to paint something interesting.
