自然豊かな奈良県曽爾村を拠点に制作する陶芸家、山本雅彦さんの個展を開催しています。
自ら土を堀り、独自の方法で焼成された作品は境界線のない唯一無二の佇まいです。一見無骨なイメージですが、作品に対峙するとその細やかさに驚かさられます。今回のメインの作品は壺。形と土の持ち味と焼成具合が絶妙なバランスで仕上がっています。
壺以外にも、碗や酒器、器など山本さんにしか出すことのできない空気感をまとった作品が並んでいます。ぜひ写真を通して幅広い作品をご覧いただき様々な発見をしていただけたらと思います。

A solo exhibition of Yamamoto Masahiko, a ceramic artist based in Soni Village, Nara Prefecture, rich in nature, is being held.
His works, which he creates by digging out the clay and firing in his own unique way, have a one-of-a-kind appearance that has no boundaries. At first glance, they may appear rugged, but when you confront them, you will be surprised by their meticulousness. The main piece in this exhibition is a jar. The shape, the clay, and the firing conditions are in perfect balance.
In addition to jars, there are also bowls, sake cups, and other vessels that are covered with an atmosphere that only YAMAMOTO can produce. We hope you will discover a wide range of works through the photographs.

2003年京都府陶工高等技術専門校入校
2004年村田森氏に師事
2007年奈良県高取町にて独立
2012年奈良県御所市に工房と住居を移す
2017年奈良県曽爾村に移住現在同地にて制作

1981 Born in Takatori Town, Nara Prefecture
2003 Entered Kyoto Prefectural College of Advanced Ceramic Technology
2004 Studied under MURATA Shin
2007 Became independent in Takatori-cho, Nara
2012 Moved his studio and residence to Gosho, Nara
2017 Moved to Soni Village, Nara Prefecture, where he currently lives and works
