水元かよこ MIZUMOTO Kayoko / MIK-26_64 Fairy tale

陶でつくられたチェスセットです。ぐるりと周囲には『不思議の国のアリス』の世界が絵付けされ、物語性あふれる仕上がりとなっています。内側には染め付けでうさぎ、毒キノコ、トランプ、歪んだ時計などが描かれ、遊び心を感じさせます。チェス盤は器と同じ素材でつくられており、デザートを盛り付けて楽しんだあと、そのままゲームとしてもお使いいただけます。日常と物語、実用と遊びが重なり合う、ユニークな作品です。

A chess set made of ceramics. The surrounding pieces are painted with scenes from Alice in Wonderland, creating a narrative-rich finish. Inside, underglaze illustrations depict rabbits, poisonous mushrooms, playing cards, distorted clocks, and other whimsical motifs. The chessboard is made from the same material as the vessels, allowing you to enjoy it for serving desserts and then use it directly as a game board.
