梱包材として使われる発泡スチロール製の緩衝材を鉄板で囲い、溶接によって密封した作品です。表面には錆を施し、あえて自然の経年変化に委ねる仕上げを採用しています。環境により表情が多少の経年変化を伴うのも特徴のひとつです。
This work encloses polystyrene cushioning material—commonly used for packaging—within steel plates, sealed through welding. The surface is intentionally rusted, adopting a finish that embraces natural aging over time. One of its distinctive features is the subtle transformation in appearance depending on the surrounding environment.
