水元かよこ MIZUMOTO Kayoko / MIK-26_4 MAKE ART,NO WAR

全長約62cmの火縄銃。銃口には「MAKE ART, NOT WAR」と刻まれ、そこから放たれるのは赤い愛のハートだけ。「戦うよりも、アートを」という水元さんからのメッセージが込められています。
表面に広がるメッセージや毒キノコ、鎖のモチーフに対し、裏面には花やハート、トランプが緻密に描き込まれ、対比的な世界観が作品全体に豊かさをもたらしています。

This matchlock gun, measuring approximately 62 cm in length, has “MAKE ART, NOT WAR” engraved on its muzzle, from which only red hearts of love are released. It carries Mizusai’s message: “Create art, not fight.”While the front surface features messages, poisonous mushrooms, and chain motifs, the reverse side is intricately adorned with flowers, hearts, and playing cards. This contrast in imagery adds depth and richness to the overall world of the piece.
*The artwork is scheduled to be shipped after the end of the exhibition on April 16.
