宇野湧 UNO Yu / UY-6 あなたがわたしにくれたもの What you gave me

「割れ」や「欠け」という陶の特徴を活かした壁掛け作品です。
採取した土や呉須でを絵付した、紙ぐらい薄い陶板画を漆喰のベースの上に貼り込んでいます。
寒い朝に木々が互いを抱き合っているように見えたので、窓から見た風景にそれらが光を受けて佇む様子を作りました。冬のつめたい漆喰壁が陽に焼けたり、暖められたりする営みのようなものを込めています。
裏側の留め具はどっこ形式ですが、後付けで紐形式にも変更できます。

【漆喰平面のシリーズ】
漆喰平面のシリーズの作家の基本理念として、壁は、人間が自らを守り隔てるために作り出した直立する地層だと考えています。壁の表面を目や手で撫ぜるとき、地層のいちばん新しい現在を眺めているのと同時に、その内側の来歴をも見つめているのだとつくづく感じます。

※飾る場合は直射日光を避けてください。保管の際は冷暗所で管理ください。

This is a wall-mounted work that emphasizes the ceramic features of “cracks” and “chips.”
Thin ceramic panels, as delicate as paper, are painted with collected clay and cobalt oxide, and affixed onto a plaster base.
On a cold morning, the trees looked as if they were embracing each other.
I created a work inspired by the view from the window, imagining them standing in the light.
It conveys the subtle changes of a winter’s cold plaster wall, warmed and scorched by the sun, as if reflecting the daily rhythms of life.
The fixture on the back is a dokko type, a traditional Japanese peg used for hanging objects, but it can also be converted to a string hanging system if desired.

Shikkui Flat Surface Series
As a core concept of this series, the artist considers walls as upright layers created by humans to protect and separate themselves.
When touching the surface with eyes or hands, one can feel both the present layer and the traces of the past beneath it.
*Although ceramic is used, this work must be kept completely dry.
*Avoid direct sunlight when displaying, and store in a cool, dark place.
