［布地見本帳に混合技法（テンペラ・油樹脂絵具併用）］
「リュウゼツランはテキーラの原料なのだと、描いている途中で知り、酒好きの自分に相応しい作品となりました。」と宮崎さん。テーラーの布地見本帳に収められた布地の上に、テンペラ絵具と油絵具で描いています。布の虫食いの痕跡とリュウゼツランの葉に描かれた虫食いが重なり合い、静かなユーモアを感じさせます。
額は大地堂のオーダー品です。

“While I was painting it, I learned that agave is the raw material for tequila, and it ended up becoming a work perfectly suited to me as a lover of alcohol,” says Miyazaki.The image is painted in tempera and oil paint directly onto the fabric samples contained in a tailor’s swatch book. Traces of insect damage in the fabric overlap with the insect-eaten details depicted on the agave leaves, creating a sense of quiet humor.
The frame is a custom-made piece by Daichidō.
