［混合技法（テンペラ・油樹脂絵具併用）］
ラテン語の "AMAT VICTRIA CURAM" は「努力する者に勝利は微笑む」という意味です。勝負に臨む前の少年の、決意に満ちた表情を描いています。
テンペラで描いた部分を油絵の具で染めていくように描かれています。
額は、オリジナルで制作、木の特性を熟知した職人による手仕事です。栗材を用い、美しい外流れの曲線を丁寧に掻き出すことで、気品ある仕上がりとなっています。
※作品の発送は会期終了後の12月27日以降となります。
Mixed media (tempera and oil-resin paint)
The Latin phrase “AMAT VICTORIA CURAM” means “Victory favors those who make the effort.” This work depicts a boy on the verge of a contest, his face filled with determination.
Areas first rendered in tempera are subsequently worked over with oil paint, applied as if gently staining the surface.
The frame is an original piece, handcrafted by a skilled artisan with deep knowledge of wood. Made of chestnut, it is finished by carefully carving graceful outward-flowing curves, resulting in a refined and dignified appearance.
