「糖蜜画」と題された陶板の壁掛け作品シリーズは、『不思議の国のアリス』の物語から着想を得て始まりました。円や直線で構成された作品は、光や奥行きを感じさせてくれます。釉薬のかけ分けや漆蒔き焼成などの上絵技法を幾重にも重ね、何度も焼成を繰り返すことで、層のような深みと絵画的な表情が生まれています。にじむように浮かび上がる色やかたちは、「描く」というよりも「沈めていく」ような制作スタイルによって生み出されたものです。糖蜜画を含む一連の作品は、重ねられた技法や素材、記憶や物語を通して、重層していく世界観を思索しています。
The Sugar Syrup Painting series is a collection of wall-mounted ceramic panels inspired by the story of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Composed of circles and straight lines, each piece evokes a sense of light and depth. By layering decorative techniques—such as partial glazing and urushimaki (lacquer and overglaze firing)—and firing the work multiple times, the artist creates a rich, stratified surface with a painterly quality. The softly emerging forms and colors appear not so much painted as gently submerged, arising from a process more akin to immersion than depiction. Through layered techniques, materials, memories, and narratives, this body of work explores a complex and multifaceted worldview.
