水田典寿 MIZUTA Norihisa / MN-20 白い塔

流木は、上部の球体も含めて一体として彫り出されています。小さな球体は海で拾ったスーパーボールを用い、錘には同じく海で見つけた鉄板を溶接して箱状に仕立てています。自然と人工、偶然と手仕事が重なり合う構成です。

The driftwood, including the spherical form at the top, is carved as a single, continuous piece.The small sphere is made from a super ball found on the beach, and the weight is constructed by welding together iron plates, also collected from the sea, into a box-like form. The composition brings together nature and the artificial, chance and handcraft.
