疾走感ある筆の走りが心地よい油絵を描く澤井昌平さんの個展です。日々現れる風景や人物たちを、まるで日記のようなスピードで毎日描いています。一見、普通の景色に思えても、いつのまにか作品の中に潜むパラレルワールドに入り込んでしまいます。その世界は様々なジャンルの映画のようでもあり、いつか読んだ小説のような気もします。

いろいろな事と競うこともなく、生き生きと描き続けてる澤井さん。作品から滲み出てくる魅力を感じていただければ幸いです。

思うこと

一喜一憂せず、ただ淡々と描きたいみたいな気持ちがある。
誰かが評価してくれても、
次に期待外れの絵を描いている自分のイメージがある。
「もっとうまくなりたい」という単純な欲がある。
自分の絵の性質は、自分でこうだと言い張るものではなく、
描いた枚数の中からなんとなく滲み出てくるものであって欲しい。

This is a solo exhibition of SAWAI Shohei, who paints oil paintings with a comfortable, fast-moving brushstroke. He paints daily landscapes and people at the speed of a diary. At first glance, the scenery may seem ordinary, but before you know it, you have entered a parallel world lurking within the work. The world is like a movie of various genres, and at the same time, it feels like a novel you have read someday.

We hope you can feel the charm of SAWAI ‘s work, which comes from the fact that she continues to draw vividly without competing with various other things.

I think.

I feel that I just want to paint without being happy or sad.
Even if someone appreciates my work,
I find myself drawing a disappointing picture the next time.
It is a simple feeling of “I want to be better”.
I am not particular about the essence of my paintings,
I want the essence of my paintings to be something that I can somehow see through the number of pictures I draw.
