水田典寿 MIZUTA Norihisa / MN-1 無題

プラスチック製の植木鉢をセメントで型取った土台の上に、楠を彫刻した鳥の頭部と、丸い流木を削り出した球体を配しています。さらに、古い額縁を吊るしていたワイヤーがモビールのように垂れ下がり、空間に動きを与えています。どこか風見鶏を思わせる軽やかさが漂っています。

On a base cast in cement using a plastic flowerpot as a mold, the work places a bird’s head carved from camphor wood alongside a sphere shaped from rounded driftwood. In addition, wire once used to hang an old picture frame hangs down like a mobile, introducing movement into the space. A sense of lightness, faintly reminiscent of a weather vane, permeates the piece.
