木灰で染め、亜麻仁油で仕上げています。使用した木灰は、制作中に出た木屑から作られたもので、素材の循環も作品の一部です。「空蝉（うつせみ）」は、抜け殻となった蝉を表す言葉で、儚さや残された気配を象徴しています。
落としを使えば、植物を生ける花器としてもお楽しみいただけます。
The piece is dyed with wood ash and finished with linseed oil. The wood ash used was made from wood scraps produced during the creation process, making the material's cycle an integral part of the artwork."Utsusemi"(empty shell of existence) r refers to the shed exoskeleton of a cicada and symbolizes transience and the lingering presence left behind.By placing a glass insert inside, it can also be enjoyed as a vase for arranging plants.
