李正鏞 Lee Jeong Yong / LJY-6 White porcelain Jar

登窯で焼成した、白化粧を施した白磁の壺です。
白化粧の筆遣いから生まれた豊かなマチエールと、丸みのある端正なフォルムが美しく調和した作品です。焼成によってほんのりと現れた緋色が、やわらかな表情を添えています。

A white porcelain vessel wood-fired in a traditional climbing kiln and finished with a white slip coating.
The rich texture created by the brushwork of the white slip is beautifully balanced by the vessel's refined, rounded form. Soft blushes of reddish hi-iro, naturally produced during the firing, add a gentle warmth to the piece.
