李正鏞 Lee Jeong Yong / LJY-5 White porcelain Jar

登窯で焼成した、白化粧を施した白磁の壺です。
白化粧の下には鉄絵で龍が描かれていますが、その全貌を見ることはできません。白化粧の筆遣いから生まれた豊かなマチエールと、端正なフォルムが美しく調和した作品です。

A white porcelain vessel wood-fired in a traditional climbing kiln and finished with a white slip coating.
Beneath the white slip, a dragon is painted in iron pigment, though its full form remains hidden from view. The rich texture created by the brushwork of the white slip is beautifully balanced by the vessel's refined form.
