木村恒介 Kohsuke Kimura / KKI-8 Blur / 桜

桜の木をピントを合わせた状態と外した状態でそれぞれ撮影し、2枚の写真を細い帯状に裁断して縦横に編み込んだ写真作品。
異なる焦点で捉えた桜の姿を一つの画面に重ねることで、鮮明な像とぼやけた像が混在し、見る位置や焦点によって変化する風景の捉え方を表現しています。
帯の幅を変えて編み込むことで、不均一な網目が画面に奥行きと立体感を生み出しています。さらに、顔料や墨による加筆と、ニスやロウによる仕上げが、独特の質感を加えています。
※作品の発送は、保存用のかぶせ箱制作のため、企画展終了後から約３週間後を予定しています。

This photographic work is created from two photographs of a cherry blossom tree, one in focus and the other out of focus. The photographs are cut into thin strips and woven together vertically and horizontally.
By combining images of the same tree captured with different focal settings, sharp and blurred images coexist within a single composition, expressing how our perception of a landscape changes depending on where and how we focus our gaze.
The varying widths of the woven strips create an irregular pattern, adding depth and a three-dimensional quality to the surface. The artist further enhances the work with pigments and ink, followed by a finish of varnish and wax, creating a distinctive texture.
*Due to the time required to produce a custom-made protective storage box with a fitted lid, the artwork is expected to ship approximately three weeks after the exhibition ends.
