This work is created from two photographs capturing summer and winter views of the Rhine River from the artist's studio window in Düsseldorf, Germany. The photographs are cut into thin vertical and horizontal strips and woven together.
By bringing together landscapes from different seasons within a single composition, the work expresses how a landscape changes with the passing of seasons and time. Through the process of cutting and reconstructing the photographs, the artist layers not only the visible scenery but also the memories and atmosphere experienced in that place.
The surface is further finished with varnish and wax, creating a distinctive texture and sense of depth.
*This artwork consists of a set of three pieces.
*Due to the time required to produce a custom-made protective storage box with a fitted lid, the artwork is expected to ship approximately three weeks after the exhibition ends.
