登窯で焼成した陶器の椅子です。
土と白化粧、焼成によって上面に現れたほんのりとした緋色が織りなす豊かなテクスチャーが魅力です。側面には、呉須と鉄で龍をイメージして描かれた絵付けが施され、幻想的な印象を与えています。
椅子として使用できる構造になっていますが、オブジェとしても存在感のある作品です。

A ceramic chair wood-fired in a traditional climbing kiln.
The rich surface texture created by the clay, white slip, and the subtle blushes of hi-iro that emerged on the top during firing is one of the work's defining qualities. Along the sides, imagery inspired by a dragon is painted in cobalt and iron pigment, lending the work a quiet, dreamlike atmosphere.
Although structurally functional as a chair, it also possesses a strong presence as a sculptural object.
*Please note that this work will be shipped after the exhibition closes, from August 5 onward.
*That this is a large-scale work. Shipping arrangements will be discussed with the purchaser separately after the order is placed.
