奥村乃 OKUMURA Dai / OD-4-3 NO LEASH LET’(S) SEE

「NO LEASH」は、サーフィンではボードと身体をつなぐリーシュを付けないこと。「LET’S SEE」は「どうなるか見てみよう」という意味があります。縛られずに、まずやってみる。そんな自由な感覚を思わせる言葉を、勢いのある筆使いで書いた作品です。

円柱の紙芯に巻いてお送りします。

In surfing, “NO LEASH” means riding without the cord that connects the surfer to the board, while “LET’S SEE” suggests seeing what happens. Together, the words evoke a sense of letting go of restraint and simply seeing where things lead. The phrase is written with bold, energetic brushstrokes.
*Please note that the washi paper used in this work is old and may have wrinkles, stains, discoloration, tears, and other signs of age.
*This work will be delivered as an unmounted sheet of washi paper, without backing or other treatment. It will be rolled around a cylindrical paper core for shipping.
*This work will be shipped on or after Tuesday, August 18, following the end of the exhibition.
