牧由加里 MAKI Yukari / MY-26-13 無題

山口県・防府天満宮の御神木を用いて制作された作品。
丸太から削り出し、3つの物体が交ざり合う姿を表現しています。それぞれの形が重なり、つながるように造形されています。
表面は漆を塗り重ねることで、色の濃淡とグラデーションを生み出しています。丸みを帯びた形が互いに重なり合い、見る角度によって異なる表情を見せる、存在感のある作品です。

※作品の発送は、企画展終了後の10月15日以降となります。

This work was created using wood from a sacred tree at Hofu Tenmangu Shrine in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Carved from a single log, the work depicts three forms merging together. Each form is shaped to overlap and connect with the others.
Multiple layers of urushi lacquer are applied to the surface, creating subtle variations and gradations of color. The rounded forms overlap one another, giving the work a strong presence and a different appearance depending on the viewing angle.
