田中彰 TANAKA Sho / Q-3 tide pool

版木を地層に見立て何層にも重ねてあります。天面を彫りその上に銀箔を貼り、雁皮紙に刷った版画を重ね、ウレタンで塗装してあります。天面の塗装を厚くすることで、潮が引いた時に出来る潮溜りの様に見えます。キラキラとした美しい水辺の世界が広がります。
電熱ペンで版木を焦がして彫っています。茨城県常陸大宮市で生産されている和紙を使用しています。作品の発送は、企画展終了後となります。
The woodblocks are layered in layers as if they were strata. The top surface is carved, and silver foil is applied on top of the silver foil. The thicker coating on the top surface makes it look like a tide pool that forms when the tide recedes. A sparkling and beautiful waterside world unfolds.
The woodblocks are burned and engraved with an electric heating pen. Washi paper produced in Hitachi-Omiya City, Ibaraki Prefecture, is used. It will be shipped after the exhibition.
