クスノキのコブ部分から制作されたボウルです。コブ特有の複雑な杢目や節が織りなす表情には、自然が育んだ力強い生命感が感じられます。
クスノキは爽やかな芳香を持ち、古くから神聖な木として親しまれ、仏像をはじめとする彫刻材としても用いられてきました。豊かな香りと表情豊かな木肌の静かな存在感を愉しめる作品です。

This bowl is crafted from the burl of a camphor tree. The burl's intricate figuring and natural knots reveal the powerful vitality of the tree, shaped over many years by nature.
Camphor wood is prized for its fresh, distinctive fragrance and has long been revered as a sacred wood in Japan. For centuries, it has been used for Buddhist statues and other carved sculptures. Rich in aroma and expressive grain, this piece offers a quiet yet striking presence that celebrates the beauty of the material itself.
